Five Sessions BLUE Can’t Wait to Attend at Adobe Summit 2018

By BLUE Software

Adobe Summit is one of BLUE’s favorite events.  Yes, a tiny reason why is the Donut Hut’s unfailing ability to satisfy our donut fix, but the larger reason why is that marketers and creators leave Adobe Summit with strategies, tools, and insights on how to deliver amazing customer experiences.  And since it’s our job to support marketers and creators with state-of-the-art Marketing Project Management tools and technology, we want to be a part of the action!

Held from March 25-29 in Las Vegas, Adobe Summit attracts every digital marketing guru ever –  from advertisers and analysts to campaign managers and content creators.  In preparation for this year’s conference, we’ve pulled together a list of some of the sessions we’re most looking forward to attending:

Future-Proof your Brand: Tuesday March 27, 1:00 – 2:00 pm

Brand loyalty is more fleeting than ever as more nimble, innovative competitors appear around every corner, every day.  The most successful companies know how to look around these corners to create the product, the experience, and the communications that propel them far ahead of where they and their customers are today. Leland Maschmeyer, chief creative officer of Chobani, and Brian Collins, CCO, Chairman and Founder, COLLINS, will discuss how to establish mass customer intimacy for the long run and craft digital ecosystems at scale to establish experiences that are familiar and surprising for customers.

The Contemporary Grocer: Albertsons Remakes Itself for a Whole New Era: Tuesday, March 27, 2:30 – 3:30 pm

It’s been a pleasure to call Albertsons a customer, and we’re looking forward to listening to their presentation on how grocers today need to continuously remake themselves or yield to the disruption of fleet-footed digital natives.   Now well into its makeover, Albertsons has achieved impressive improvements across a range of key metrics, including conversions and completions, orders per day, revenue, repeat users, and interactions on special offers. Perhaps more important, the company is positioned to just keep getting better day after day.

Creating Customer Connections through Design and Innovation: Tuesday March 27, 4:00 – 5:00 pm

We’re a little biased because Coca-Cola is one of our customers, but we’re excited to hear Coca-Cola discuss how they’ve instituted a digital-and design-first strategy to communicate the attributes of a globally recognized product as an experience that connects with two billion customers a day.  James Sommerville, VP Global Design at Coca-Cola, will co-present with Dmitri Siegel, VP of Brand, Sonos, and discuss the surprising similarities for what companies both old and new need to do to attract new customers while remaining loyal and authentic to the ones they’ve had for years.

Transforming the Brand/Agency Relationship: Tuesday, March 27, 5:30 – 6:30 pm

The rapid pace of digital transformation is re-framing the traditional brand-agency relationship. Designing great brand-to-consumer experiences requires an in-depth understanding of the customer, a data-driven approach, and an application of both into existing business processes.  These dynamics shift the value proposition of the brand-agency relationship and change the rules for how brands collaborate with agencies, and even their own in-house creative teams.  Steven Moy, EVP & CTO and Richard Ting, EVP & Global Chief Design Officer, both of R/GA; and Emmanuel Miran, Global CTO at Mondelez International will discuss how they navigate the changing waters of the brand-agency relationship and partner for unparalleled success in the digital age.

Emerging Technology is Shaping the Future: Thursday, March 29, 11:00 – 12:00 pm

The landscape of marketing, advertising, and entertainment is changing, with technology playing a huge part in how content is both made and consumed. Learn more about engaging with your audiences using the latest in groundbreaking technology and take a walk into the future with Boo Wong, Global Director of Emerging Technology at The Mill.  Wong will share strategies and tactics to ensure you’re creating relevant and exciting content that consumers want to engage with, be a part of and share, and then take a look at the tech that’s re-defining the current landscape.
