Do you hear that buzzing sound? That’s the sound of the BLUE team chatting about the BLUE Annual Conference in Chicago next week. The conference is scheduled for October 3, 2018, at Chez, and the BLUE team is ready to go!
Here in Marketing, we’ve had the pleasure and privilege of planning the BLUE Annual Conference. The result of tons of serious elbow grease from a team of talented event planners, industry speakers, PR specialists, audio/visual technicians, and caterers (can we just say we love the catering?), the event will be full of best practices from industry experts and networking opportunities with professionals of every conceivable packaging background.
While a quick glance at the BLUE Annual Conference agenda reveals there is so much about which to look forward, here are the three things we’re anticipating most:
Gerry O’Brion – After noshing on bagels (did we mention how much we love the catering?), attendees will be treated to an interactive presentation from brand strategist and franchise expert Gerry O’Brion. With a reputation for “wow” and an opening keynote titled, “What Big Brands Know,” Gerry will address today’s consumer purchasing behaviors, branding challenges, and product information trends – and what they mean for our audience of marketing, labeling, and packaging stakeholders.
Presentation Takeaways – The opportunity to learn from great speakers (and colleagues) is at the core of the event. Presentations will address some of the key challenges facing our customers, including how to prep for success in Label and Artwork Management technology implementation and adoption, re-branding in an era of increasing mergers and acquisitions, and leveraging BLUE and Esko’s unique solutions capabilities in the end-to-end packaging value chain.
Meeting and Greeting – As informative as the keynote presentation and sessions are, the opportunity to “meet and greet” such a large group of industry thought leaders makes the Annual Conference a truly one-of-a-kind experience. Each year, this event offers the chance to connect with packaging pros from all experience levels and backgrounds – including agency, CPG, retail, life sciences, marketing, media, and even vendors.
In addition to the BLUE staff, representatives from Esko will also be in attendance for everyone to meet. They’re at the ready to provide our customers with the necessary insights and framework to evaluate the many label and packaging artwork solutions they now have at their disposal following Esko’s acquisition of BLUE (and of course the Esko team heard about the fabulous catering – how could they miss?).
